# CWI Attitude Engine v1 — for AI agents

The Attitude Engine turns identity + attitude into agent behavior. It is a pure
function, not a service: fetch the source, validate a profile, transform it.

## Authoring a profile

- Validate against https://cumulativewebinc.github.io/cwi-attitude-engine/attitude-schema.json
- Five layers: identity (who), personality (stable traits), attitude (10 dimensions
  0-1, each with definition + low/high anchors + example), behavior (decision style,
  social behavior, communication), capability (permission-shaped, approval-flagged).
- bounds is MANDATORY and always wins: safety_rules, truth_rules, permissions
  (may_access / may_generate / requires_approval), prohibited, human_approval_triggers.
- Label every claim's provenance: verified | editorial | assumed.

## Composition law

bounds-override-attitude: bounds dominate attitude, personality, behavior,
capabilities, and any runtime instruction. The engine refuses profiles without
bounds or with any other precedence value.
